Lowongan kerja di Singapore

Conference Producer (Native Speaker of Bahasa Indonesia)

Our conference team is looking for a talented individual to join us in Singapore and work on our expanding portfolio of Indonesian conference programmes.

For the last eight years Alphabet Media has been organising senior level conferences on public sector modernisation in Asia Pacific. As part of our business expansion plans, the company is looking to recruit an additional conference producer based in Singapore.

FutureGov conferences cover the work of government, education and healthcare administrators to improve the productivity, governance and service delivery of their organisations. Our delegates are civil servants, and our content is based on exclusive interviews with senior officials, and the executives of technology companies. In this role, you will be responsible for putting together the programmes, and liaising with the key stakeholders, of our Indonesian conferences.

Therefore you should be a native speaker of Bahasa Indonesia, with good English language skills – because you will be speaking daily to senior government officials in Indonesia, as well as their international counterparts, and representatives of industry. Experience of organising events in Malaysia would be an advantage.

You will be responsible for developing conference topics into commercially-viable conferences, events and training courses through:

Carrying out extensive market research into topics
Interviewing senior officials and industry observers
Producing and managing the conference programmes and content
Writing programme and brochure copy
Sourcing and recruiting experts as speakers

Desired Skills & Experience

You must have experience of pulling together successful events in Indonesia, and be able to demonstrate an understanding of how to get things done.
Indonesia is a big and colourful place, whilst Alphabet is a small and colourful place. We are looking for someone who can help keep things simple as we look to expand our relationships with Indonesia’s public sector.
Our content relates to the role of IT in improving public sector performance. Are you comfortable talking to people about technology issues in Bahasa Indonesia? Do you understand the structure of the Indonesia public sector?
The key trait of a successful conference researcher is the ability to engage with, and extract information from, our audience. You must have a proven ability to build rapport with senior executives in the private and public sector.
Success in this job also depends on your ability to have successful telephone conversations: you must not be afraid to spend time on the phone.
You will be working as part of a multinational team, split across multiple time zones. An ability to relate to international colleagues is essential.
We run many government-to-government events in Southeast Asia, and in the wider region. You must be willing to travel to Indonesia and other locations from time-to-time – both for work, and training.
Variety is the spice of life: Bahasa Indonesia is a mandatory requirement for this role, along with a strong grasp of English.
Can you tell the time? Punctuality is a key part of the company culture, along with doughnuts.
Sense of humour. You don’t have to be a comedian, but the bosses like it when you laugh at their jokes.
